Thinking of the User
The UX/UI Designer doesn't design in a vacuum, they need to establish the needs of the user first and then design from there. Seeing the opportunities requires an empathetic mindset, and listening is the highest form of empathy. You can't know what your user's needs are until you observe and talk to some living, breathing people. You also need to establish what you hope to learn before you disembark.
